Rejuvenated Tele2 passes the one million subscriber mark
Montenegro’s T-Mobile has inked a deal with Ericsson Nikola Tesla to upgrade its
network to HSPA+, which it claims will
allow mobile data customers access to theoretical downlink speeds of up to 42Mbps. Parent Crnogorski Telekom contracted the vendor to upgrade, expand and modernise its
fixed and
wireless networks. By the end of the year, Ericsson expects to begin rolling out HSPA+ in six cities; Podgorica, Bar, Budva, Kotor, Herceg Novi and Zabljak.*According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, T-Mobile deployed a HSDPA
network in June 2007 and expanded it to ‘national’ coverage in subsequent years.
