Regulator to work with cellcos to develop tender for 4G spectrum
Irish telecoms regulator ComReg has
published its latest quarterly report on the domestic
market which shows that total
electronic communications revenues topped EUR961 million (USD1.3 billion) for the three months to 30 June 2011, up 1.3% on the previous quarter. The watchdog
reports that total
voice traffic (fixed and mobile) declined by 0.7% to a little over 4.45 billion
voice minutes in 2Q11, as
broadband subscriptions rose by a net 3,859 to 1.66 million.
