CRC approves NURTS sale
Pakistani
fixed line incumbent Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has
announced that in the year ended 30 June 2011 it saw revenues of PKR104.6 billion (USD1.14 billion), an increase of 6% against the figure from the previous financial year. Further, the
company noted that net profit for the twelve month
period stood at PKR8.4 billion. The operator’s president and CEO Walid Irshaid
said that the results demonstrated that PTCL had successfully ‘continued its strategy of innovation’, with the
company having positioned itself as the
leading integrated
telecom services provider in Pakistan, offering multiple
solutions to
business and household
market segments while also extending vital
services to other
telecom operators in the country.
