BSNL hunting for private company to operate its tower infrastructure

number of Brazilian telecoms
operators have started providing low-cost
high speed internet access under the remit of the state’s National Broadband Plan (PNBL). From 1 October, Telemar Norte Leste (Oi), Telefonica Brazil, Algar Telecom and Sercomtel began offering a 1Mbps
connection for BRL35 (USD18.95) per month in 344 municipalities, with the aim of upping this to 544 areas by the year end.
